Another year, another start, another adventure.

Look at the date, today is 25th. It's someone else's birthday (ahem...) and yet I ate a slice of birthday cake that is meant for me in the morning right after I woke up at home. It has been this way for many years now (though it's not like 5 o'clock early in the morning everytime...) and of course I can somehow foresee what my parents would do every year. Yup my birthday is around the corner but "quite unfortunately" though it does not fall on the day that I'm home (wouldn't make much difference anyway) and so my usual "mini celebration" (erm... not quite...) has got to be today morning in that brief 8 minutes time.

Frankly I do not celebrate my birthday, now don't get me wrong that I did not get wishes from friends or presents or what, but I meant "no fancy dinner/meal or celebration (you know, like those kinda buffets that we used to attend with invitation to MANY people), no special presents, no wishes from family (they never did, so do I), no candles no nothing". I could hardly remember the last time I really "celebrated" my birthday, was when I was like... erm... 7 or 8 years old? Now that I've mentioned it, I would like to describe a bit about my childhood birthday celebrations. They used to be my happiest moments, though again no fancy meals and such, but of course there will be cake (I never missed cakes every year in my whole life, and I love them), AND the most important part for me, is that there will be tons of (I mean "many") toys surrounding me with the cake in front. Yes I once fond of toys; Transformers, Matchbox, Power Rangers (my ultimate collection), Gundams, "Pasar Malam Plastic Classics"... you name it. My mom used to be very strict and so no computer and video games for me last time, but "mild level" of Digimon is acceptible. So far I could recall that I have stuffed two full plastic boxes (huge ones) of toys, and now they are on display in my other house, nicely attached and posted. Not that I like to collect bunch of any plastic figures or so called "junks" but I actually do have a taste and "class". To visualize this point, I've actually collected almost RM 1.5k worth of toys (Power Rangers was the culrpit, I meant "High Quality Officially Genuine Power Rangers Plastics cum Metals Figures or Toys or Models" or whatever...). Yes, picky as to say I am. All in all I would most likely get some "high quality toys" every year from my parents and aunt (both are my hardcore toys sponsors throughout my childhood). I still remember clearly the phrase "Mighty "Morphine"(Morphing) Power Ranger!", I was a big fan of Power Rangers for many seasons lol...

So much for my childhood memory, of course I did not get any toys on this morning (I wished I could get something else, but none that was present. Not that I would blame them for that, of course I do understand about my parents' financial situation...). And as usual, "Khai Yuen there's a cake inside the fridge, cut it anytime you want and you might as well have it for your breakfast, cause I did not get any bread for you yesterday." It was a chocolate cake (I don't think I missed any "chocolate" too in my whole life whenever on my birthday, I love it...), I mean CHOCOLATE CAKE, because I can see nothing else besides chocolate. Chocolate toppings chocolate cream chocolate wrapping and of course, chocolate cake LOL. Anyway, it was a reasonably cheap cake compared to other branded cake shops, this one is from Tesco. No I wouldn't mind it, as long as it's a cake, and hey it's chocolate! XD

And so I ate the thing, cut it myself, no candles no birthday song (it was 5 in the morning duh, my parents were sleeping...), all by myself. Instead of a "mini celebration" I would say that it was just another normal breakfast, except with that "Happy Birthday" letters on the cake. I had done with it after about 8 minutes, ate to my heart content and put the remaining into a tupperware and into the fridge, and I told my mom to share it with my dad and grandpa when they wake up.

That's it for this year, just another year. But then I suddenly realized something when I was on the train back to MC; my mom has never failed to provide me with cakes every year, well actually my dad pays for it but she chooses it, and yet I've never said that "particular phrase" to them at all. And so I would like to take this opportunity here to say...

Thanks, mum and dad.

"Sometimes time really matters"

As of May 1, 2007:

As of June 16, 2007:

Sometimes, it's not just about the improvement by a mere 3 seconds or 1 second, but it means a lot, it actually brings about 1 to 3 more months of joy and sense of achievement, until I can break it again...

1. Have you ever tried to travel from PJ to Setapak after classes from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., play basketball for about 2 hours, and lepak till 3 a.m.? And get up at 7 a.m. just to lepak again before rushing back to PJ for class again? I went back to have a "short nap" from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. after that, and then from 9 p.m. all the way to 6.30 a.m... Amazing how I could sleep like that isn't it? Oh my... And have you tried brushing your teeth with your finger, and not changing your clothes for one whole day?

灯灯灯凳!!~

After being "DC" from the online world for weeks (not fully "DC" afterall...), I've finally quit slacking off and have decided to spend "a little" time in PD computer lab to get on with my post, on this filthy keyboard (=_=)... SERIOUSLY most of the keyboards in PD look like someone has just peed on them, often covered with dust (but I don't think they are simply "dust") and "dirt" (uhuh..?). I felt sooo uneasy whenever I have to use them, oh well, can't help anyway.

I've not planned to blog beforehand so I do not have any particular idea in mind, so I'll just get through with this "quick" and "brief"...

Recent thoughts:

1) If I ever "gay", it would have to be L, no one else. DAMN YOU REM!!! (in honor to our beloved L)

2) Is it only me or what? I've noticed weeks ago that ALL of the anime I've watched use clamshell phones, do Japanese know what is "candybar"???

3) I've had a ride on a bullet train. If you ever interested in riding one, you don't need a visa and passport for a trip to Japan, you can get one in my Introductory Calculus lecture...

4) It sure rains a lot...

5) It sure is hot when it doesn't rain.

6) I ran out of games to play... Seriously.

7) TimeNet is a murderer.

8) You can actually get by without getting scold by parents when your housephone bill exceeded RM600.

9) And you can actually push your phone bill over RM600 (there IS a reason why I was DC'ed for long...)

10) If you still don't blog after a long while, you won't get the chance to do so anymore.

11) The elevated vehicle bridge over the roundabout near MC and Nissan is finally completed, thanks to it the traffic there is much more improved and well-organized. This morning I got my first ride-through from MC to PA, it was fast (uhuh, and NO more congested early in the morning). Odd enough though, I began to worry, sure that bridge is to bring convenience and a time-saver, but then it indirectly (and inevitably, since it doesn't make sense to just put a traffic light in the middle of the road which is not more than 2 kilometres) causes the cars to speed across the bridge all the way down until the junction into PA block (and continues after that). Today I've experimented (ahem... "experienced") that, the MC bus was running sooo much faster than it used to be when it takes the bottom road. Let's think about this, UTAR is well reknown and beloved by many Chinese (achoo!!~) and many chose to further their tertiary studies here, imagine many people from outstation or natives that stay in Section 17 or so, and every morning they will have to cross the road to UTAR PA without any assistance from any traffic lights or safety guards (primary school?) or traffic police (?) or bridges (sorry but my english is poor, do you have any other substitution to refer to a "smaller sized bridge"?? @_@) or zebra crossing or whatever... Yea you get my idea here, with THAT thrusting speed of the cars it's impossible to put an instant break in times of emergency, and so accidents have a high chance to occur in the very near future (my humble deduction). Should we start worrying right after it happens? Or is it better to do something now? At least build some mini bumpers (again, what do you call those lines?) or paint a zebra crossing before you open that road! Oh come on Zzz...

12) Ampang Yong Tau Fu is no match to the Yong Tau Fu near the entrance of my town, erm... HUH!?

13) Despite that I've stopped onlining in the past few weeks, I am still able to grab all of Ai Otsuka's albums (except for her compilation album, that comes afterwards). Regardless that I'm updating my blog so darn late, I've had them all... Now? Working on Yui (blekk). I can't stop now, not when I'm bored to death without any interest in games anymore (some occasional hacking in Dota). But of course it is an end to my online routine at home, I can't do that anymore, not that I can't do it at UTAR... XD.

14) Ivan is a nice guy (no you don't need to treat me to a meal or what... XD)

15) DAMN I still don't get the chance to see Kelvin drives!! (=_=)

16) My (T5) and my neighbour (T6) tutorial class are S C A R Y, I can sense many CGPA 3.8+ scorers in these two classes, seriously I'm freaking out...

17) I've managed to escape from a super hot stove, yet found myself in another freaking haywire fridge!! Guys remember how we used to complain about the air-conds in PA block? Now I don't get the same problem here in PD, but it's a bit over... Especially in these stormy days, I'll consider to get a jacket soon... Damn...

18) Where in heaven is my new phone!!? (if my mom ever read blogs...)

19) Where in Malaysia is my new spectacles!!? (if my dad ever read blogs...)

20) Are you guys gonna reserve it for my birthday surprise??? (if my parents ever read blogs...)

21) My new little puppy is CUTE~ Kawaii... (all dogs to me are cute except for Chiwawa), show you some photos sooner...

22) I've heard that SOMETHING (unfavourable) happened on last Saturday (June 11) in UTAR, anyone can update me on that? XD

23) I'm bankrupt this month... Aiks...

24) I can't sleep later than 11 o'clock lately... It's cause I will fall before that, I wonder WHY.

25) I will have to find alternative sources to download Japanese songs, I can't rely on download manager anymore. So if anyone ever have any good sites (with direct download links on the exact songs or WinRAR archive of the original albums) please do let me know, you will be a life-saver of me.

26) Oh, I saw a magnificent paragraph regarding a SUPERB Japanese female artist's information, I'll highlight it here...

"Sony released a deluxe box set for Seiko in July 2006. The box set contains 55 CDs, 860 songs cost 100,000 yen and has a play time of over 80 hours."

If you are counting with your little fingers, put that down, I'll tell you. It's ~RM 2857.19... I don't know about you, but this is my first time in my life that I've seen such amazing fact.
Full cover story at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seiko_Matsuda

27) I'm starting to get bored eating rice box (I mean the rice inside okay?) in MC alone, really hope to meet new friends soon so I won't have dinner alone at night anymore...

28) My eyeballs are gonna explode in a few more minutes, and my songsdownload have completed, sayonara.

(Oh lord please grant me great strength and courage so that I can come back to this wonderful place once more, for that I've found my salvation in blogging that I can release "something" that has been kept in my soul for weeks... Ah Men)<<--- (is that the right way to say a prayer?)
